Throughout the navigable course between St. Paul, MN and the Missouri River, the Mississippi ranges anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 feet in width and 10 to 100 feet in depth. The accessibility of this great river links the heartland of North America to the rest of the world. The river is recognized world wide for its great beauty, recreation and everyday wildlife that call the majestic Mississippi River home.
